Re: Thread 101

I read a counter to that, that it was an urban legend and emergency services will likely spot other clues of a baby being in the vehicle first, such as a baby seat, rather than waste time looking for a yellow sign in the back. They probably would now and with the amount of parodies of them, those s...

Re: Thread 101

Kind of like 'Baby on board' stickers (or 'Princess on board' as I saw the other day) - as if it's okay to drive less carefully when there are no children in the other cars. Not sure how true it is but I remember hearing years ago that their original purpose was to let emergency services personnel ...

Re: A free-for-all thread

Spending this morning updating my CV and writing a cover letter to apply for another job at work that I'm not sure I even want. Wondering whether I'm just wasting a few hours of my life that I could be using for sleeping.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

So tempted to reply to all the knobbers who haven't got a fucking clue what they're talking about that are posting on my workplace's Facebook page at the moment and tell them to shut the fuck up and go and educate themselves but I know I'd end up getting into trouble.

Re: The Relationships Thread

If it doesn't work out dating the female version of Tim then I'm well giving it a go. Third date tomorrow, she's unhappy I haven't seen all the Star Wars films so wants me at some point to go to hers and watch them. Original, not remastered (naturally) and she has them on VHS... and a working VHS p...

Re: A free-for-all thread

They tried to pull that "you have to have time off here, here and here and you can't have a week off in December" shit with me last year. I told them that they were my holidays and I'd book them when I wanted/needed them and if I was that important to the running of the organisation that I...

Re: A free-for-all thread

I've been noticing more and more than people with 9-5 Monday - Friday office jobs complain more about work than anybody else, especially having to go to work on Mondays. Every week I see somebody being all "OMG I cannot face going into work today, give me back my weekend." etc. Awk, poor ...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Try hearing Walking In The Air (a song I hate so much that I usually turn around and walk out of shops that play it) once an hour every day from the last week of November until this weekend just gone! I heard it 13 times in one day once! Then add in two different versions of Feed The World.... The o...
