Re: Next Announcement

BTW- the New Blood Stage has excellent bands on- last year Blind Divide were one of the best bands of the whole time. Those bands practice their guts out to make their mark. The Sophie stage and the New Blood is where I spend most of my time, you can hear the main stage as you cross over the field. ...

Re: Next Announcement

The capacity of Download is 110,000 this year and they are charging £243 for 3 days camping +£5.50 postage. Bloodstock maximum attendance has been 18,000. I went to Sonsiphere when it was 60,000 people - it reminded me of some post-apocalyptic refugee camp. You have to be off your face all the time ...

Re: Next Announcement

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

Freedom of Movement isn't as unrestricted as the right-wing media suggest (or at least, it doesn't have to be): https://ukandeu.ac.uk/we-can-control-eu-migration-we-just-havent-done-it/ There is one section (article 8) of the EU Human Rights Law signed away by Brown in the Lisbon Treaty that gives ...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

especially as the EU do not think that, for example, a convicted rapist should be denied free-movement http://immigration-appeals.icslegal.com/2016-03-02/law-abiding-rapist-let-back-into-britain-because-it-would-break-eu-law-to-deport-him-to-romania/ Did you just swallow the headline without burpin...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

I have bought merch at gigs from USA bands in the past few years and the price is no different from European bands or UK bands. But if you buy merch (or anything) directly from the USA then the tax is high due to the EU surcharge. Also, I bought something from Nuclear Blast in Germany and because th...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

As long as metal bands are freely able to get into the UK to play gigs and festivals then I have no problem with brexit. PS I have a brexit 1 to 2 times a day. ;) (Metal bands from the UK have been moving freely into non-EU countries for years without visas.) There could be a problem if an individu...

Re: Next Announcement

Conjurer and Palm Reader have a split coming out this week- why couldn't BOA get Palm Reader as well- it would be a sight better than NFO (so what if they are signed with nuclear blast and have ex-soilwork etc members) if their track Turn to Miami is anything to go by- looks like and sounds like som...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

I suppose it's one way of saving the air fare and the planet- experience Venezuela in the UK by voting Labour The proposed Labour policies are nothing like policies in Venezuela. They are modeled off policies used in Norway / Sweden / Germany which you may notice are all doing pretty well with a ha...
