Can't wait for the moaners to come out of the woodwork when they realise that Sleep Token "ARENT TRVE METULZ". It's a massive booking, they are on fire right now.
Happy that Soen go reconfirmed.

Re: BLOODSTOCK 2022 ANNOUNCEMENT
Heard some rumblings the final headliner may be Limp Bizkit. They are in Europe at the right sort of time, and have a gap on the Friday.

Re: BLOODSTOCK 2022 ANNOUNCEMENT
Yeah, when they cycled through the names on the screen you got the usual small-to-large levels of cheers depending on the bands. When it got to Anselmo there was definitely an audible boo (some people cheered too). Was the only band to get a negative reaction.

Re: BLOODSTOCK 2022 ANNOUNCEMENT
Middling announcement for me tbh.
Was interesting to hear the Anselmo announcement get booed in the arena.

I have a team entered in the new season. If there's a league, I'll join.

Re: movies
Was bored this morning so went to the early showing of Knives Out - great cast, Danial Craig with a Louisana drawl was odd but his Columbo esque detective was fun. Hopefully there will be another one with him. Looking at the end if year lists, found a Swedish sci fi called Aniara about a doomed spa...

Re: Strategy Board Games
Another good one is Betrayal at the House on the Hill. Starts as a co-op game and ends up being a 1 vs the rest. First half of the game you explore a house (build from scratch each time by laying tiles, so it's never really the same). At a certain point you trigger the 'haunt' and the second half of...

Re: Strategy Board Games
Horrified is definitely simpler than Pandemic, though it can depend which monsters you're playing (the mechanics to beat each are different). As for Pandemic player roles, I believe in the rules it states you're meant to pick them at random. Have you managed to beat it on the hardest difficulty sett...

Re: Strategy Board Games
If you're into Co-op games, Pandemic is a brilliant strategy game. Genuinely challenging whilst still being fun. Along similar lines, I picked up Horrified recently. A co-op game where you have to defeat Universal Studios horror monsters (Dracula, The Mummy, etc). Both of the above require a certain...

Re: What's upset you?
Upset is a strong word for it, but I'm definitely feeling the lockdown restrictions at this point. I'm usually quite a soaciable person and will often spend multiple days per week meeting up with various folks (on top of booking/promoting gigs here). Since lockdown, I've seen something like 4 people...

Re: Use of Referendums
Referendums should, broadly speaking, (virtually) never be binding. Legally binding or not, it's virtually impossible for a government to press ahead with a policy when the majority has voted for something else. Cameron could have said "yeah, but it was only advisory - we'll stay in the EU&quo...

Re: Use of Referendums
Referendums should, broadly speaking, (virtually) never be binding. It's rare that a population is clued up enough on a subject and its nuances to be able accurately decide what they want and is best for them. Effectively, they are giant opinion polls and nothing more.
