Re: What pissed you off today

Trying to find someone with a van who'll drive me and my stuff up to Dundee next Tuesday, but not charge an excessive amount of money to do so. Had a guy who said he'd do it for ~£350, but he went silent a couple of weeks ago -- ignoring my emails, ducking my phone calls, and ultimately switching o...

Re: A driving thread

Getting my fast car jollies out on track with the MX5s now, innit? Need to make some savings to afford that (plus, this new car is comfy and economic as fuck) - plus need the practicality for camping and shizz.

Re: A driving thread

End of an era! After owning the GT86 for two years, I've put down a deposit today on a new Nissan Qashqai (Tekna, 1.5L diesel)! Hello £0 annual tax and real world 60mpg! (it claims 75mpg) And heated leather seats, heated windscreen, panoramic sunroof, DAB, all round parking cameras, elevated driving...

Re: You should uninstall Apple Music

Although does raise the question, if someone had their own copyrighted compositions stored on their cloud service and altered without their permission, wouldn't that leave Apple open to a lawsuit? It's bigger than that. They're creating copies of copyrighted works that they don't have a licence to....

Re: What Tet and Gandalf did in the war thread (Nostalgia)

football sticker books seem to be making a big comeback for the Euros this year. Went to buy cigs at Tesco's and in front of me were like 3 30 year old blokes who must of bought about 10 packs between them. Think the last time I actually collected any was around WC '98  Thing is, when you were...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I gave some weights a go at the gym on Saturday and where I thought I had done really well to avoid post gym aches and pains, my arms don't work any more. I only did 25 reps on one piece of equipment as well. Not fair. Takes me 48 hours for DOMS to set in. They're weird though, unlike pulled muscle...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Yeah, general relationship stuff mixed up with new ideals tends to lead to these extreme turnarounds. As a counter example, I've got a mate whose been vegan for like 3/4 years at this point for moral reasons, and you wouldn't know if not for him occasionally turning down a burger. Only occasionally...
