Re: Epica

As long as it's not more than a 20 minute set, songs just sound the same after that I disagree, their albums Design Your Universe, The Quantum Enigma and The Divine Conspiracy are some of the best symphonic metal albums and none of those 3 sound alike. They also deserve way more than 20 minutes con...

Re: Next Announcement

A lot of people seem to be ruling out Mercyful Fate already but they may still take the Special Guest slot under Judas Priest

Re: Next Announcement

Well that's definitely confirmed my attendance - this is the first time I love all three headliners!

I was honestly expecting worse so happy we actually got bands that belong at Bloodstock and not some rubbish Saturday mainstream band no wants.

Black Wizard wrote:'We Are the Others' sucks though, so I won't be posting a link to that song.

As others have said, that's heresy! It's their best album.

I like this album too but it's their weakest effort by far...
Anyway I'd love to see Delain back again!

What's the source of this? I can't find where this is mentioned anywhere so doubt we'll get an announcement so soon as we just had one.

Re: Next Announcement

If headliners are going to be announced before Halloween, my guess is Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper - both previous headliners (since it's the anniversary) and Rob Zombie was announced on Halloween last time.

Re: Next Announcement

The idea flashed through my head that Vio-Lence could sub the Sophie stage, given Raging Speedhorn is one of the other subs; I think I've got to scale back my hopes. Vio-lence have confirmed EU exclusivity with Alcatraz festival which rules out any other Europe/UK shows for this year. I am personal...

Re: Next Announcement

HRH are getting more specific genre festivals, HRH Vikings has got a lot of the folk stuff this time, stuff we used to get at Bloodstock.

So that's where the folk is hiding!
Thanks for pointing this out, no idea it was a thing.
May have to book myself a trip to Sheffield :D

Re: Next Announcement

I was really hoping for some Death Metal in this announcement. Something like Unleashed, Jungle Rot, Obscura or Rivers of Rihil would've be great in the slot that Raging Speedhorn took. In fact, the whole lineup is severely lacking in Death so far. It isn't my favourite subgenre and I don't usually...

Re: Next Announcement

There are so many better bands touring similar fests at the same time...instead we get more disappointment...
