powerplays probably the best magazine around at the mo fireworks is pretty good aimed at the lighter side of metal/rock though

I'd like Fireworks a lot better if they didn't insist on using such a ridiculously small font on so many pages.

Ditto. And Powerplay really needs a letters page to make it feel alive.

I get terrorizer every month. Its a pretty awesome magazine. i used to get Metal hammer but it is too.. mainstream for me now, i like to learn of new bands around the block. Besides that, metal hammer seems to be going in the direction of kerrang in covering more mainstream bands Or maybe its just my music taste. Zero tolerance i want to read but i haven't seen it sold in a shop over here

To be honest i dont really read any of the magazines anymore but i do still pick up a copy of terrorizer now and again.

I voted Metal Hammer, but, with that being said, do you really need to buy the mags to catch up with the Metal news when ya have the likes of Blabbermouth and all the other Metal news websites?

Metal Hammer and Terrorizer. Metal Hammer has gone a bit shit though.

Well, the only interesting mag for me in England is Terrorrizer, but every time I visit Austria I buy a whole load of my staple magazines that I used to read before I moved over here:

Rock Hard
Legacy
Ablaze (which I think doesn't exist anymore...)
Pagan Fire
Orkus
Bang Your Head (though I haven't been able to find it for a while now)

It's a shame there is only Terrorizer in the UK

I've not had a metal mag in a while, I bought Hammer for a lot of last year, but the last few issues had litterally nothing that interestied me, so I didn't bother. I may start buying Terrorizer this year due to the fact that it's the only other one my local WH Smith stocks.

Terrorizer hands down.

Metal hammer annoys me, it's a good read sometimes but apart from that its a load of shite. The people who do the podcast also need shooting.
