They have the markings of a band who appeal to the mainstream metal demographic, not to mention the usual high-end production and the fact that what they play nowadays isn't exactly outside the sensibilities of the mainstream metal crowd anymore. I would say, for the sake of discussion, that they are commercial, but that's just me. That's being neutral as I'm not familiar with enough of their stuff to decide whether I like them.
