Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread
Last: Tyr - Travelled for hours at great expense to see one of my favorite bands play nothing but new material for a grand total of TWENTY MINUTES! Disaster.
Next: Hammerfest - Paid up full VIP price months ago. The con? 90% of the lineup consists of generic angry pub-metal, and the other 5% get a great big 'meh' from my corner. Gloryhammer are okay, in a second rate alestorm sort of way - and Enthroned, random snoozy black metal act that I haven't listened to in years 'cus they're not that great. Oh, and grand magus.
If you're considering going to Hammerfest, don't get suckered in by buying your tickets early. You can't get a refund and you can't sell your tickets to anybody else, and if the lineup suddenly looks like it was put together by an elderly george lucas, there's nowt all you can do bar having a cold, mid-march holiday incarcerated in butlins for 72 hours.

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread
Tonight: Buffalo Summer, Cadillac 3 and the Graveltones. Headliners got a bit tedious, a two man garage rock band, both overplayed to compensate for no bass player, but really their songs aren't that great. Undercard made up for it, both great fun.

I thought about going to that in London tomorrow. With Talanas supporting. But I think I'll probably go to Enkelination at Foggy's birthday bash instead (assuming I can sort out transport).

hammerfest 2012 was really good and it was a warm march. Tyr played york in february of the same year, their only headlining date so far.

You should go, Talanas are doing a cover of your favourite ever Bloodstock headliner at the moment - The Forever People by My Dying Bride

I went to the first day of FOAD so that was my last gig, next one will be Blaze Bayley
