I'm bored, so I thought it was about time I posted in this thread. Thats a quite old photo, so my hair is now much longer :D Don't worry, I won't wear the sombrero to Bloodstock, and I'll also be looking happier.

Name: Simon

Age : 19

Lives: Isle of Wight. So all you scottish people should stop complaining about how far away Bloodstock is.

Favourite things: Metal, basketball, some other stuff that I can't be bothered to write.

Least favourite things: Chavs, idiots in general, people who ask for directions to places miles and miles away from where we are. Those 3 characteristics are often found in the same person.

First bloodstock attended: 2007

Last Gig: Megadeth/Evile :D

Next Gig: Possibly Queensryche, if not it'll be Iron Maiden. 8)

That's a bit unfair, tbh. The reason people ask for directions is because they don't know where they're going, so don't know how far it is. A lot of the maps on hotel booklets and the like are inaccurate and incomplete, and with most cities adopting horrendous 1 way systems it's difficult to turn around and go back, so if someone misses a turn...they're fucked.

I'm not talking about simple directions, like wheres the nearest hotel, I'm talking about people who want directions to places so far away I'd have trouble getting there myself. I live of the Isle of Wight, and, as such, I get a huge amount of tourists asking me directions, especially in the summer. Now, I have no problem if they ask me where the beach is (so long a sits a local one), but if the ask me directions to somewhere 2-3 hours away on the other side of the island, I can't possibly provide directions, and when I say this they get all shitty, espically the ones who don't speak very good english.

And there are no cities on the island, although we often see tourists going the wrong way down a one way street.

Maybe I should add tourists to my list.

Dude, it's in our nature to complain about EVERYTHING. And you're still far far closer to Catton Hall than us...

Also, can I have your hat? :D

I would love to give you the hat, I really would, but it's not mine, so alas I cannot. I'd like for you to wear a sombrero at bloodstock just to see what the people behind you would do.

And although Scotland may well be mathematically further away, the Isle of Wight is almost certainly more difficult to travel from. I was shattered by the end of Testament last year, as I'd been awake for well over 36 hours due to travelling. I can't sleep on coaches. Or ferries. I only just got their in time for Chris Slade... :D
