Is Dee Snider OK?

Postby i0th » Thu Sep 12, 2019 10:03 am

The things he was saying at BOA sounded like he knew something was wrong (a few others I was picked up on it too) and now he's cancelled the Hard Rock Hell show in November. Well worried!

Where did you find out about the HRH cancellation?

Just read that Firestorm Rocks Festival in Scotland (which is on the same weekend and was due to feature Dee Snider & Doro) has been cancelled - this is probably the reason for the HRH cancellation as it's probably no longer financially viable for him to come to the UK for just 1 show.

Yeah I've just seen the stage times - if this is due to the Scotland festival being cancelled then I suppose you can't blame HRH but this shit seems to happen with most of their festivals - they seem to be incapable of keeping their original line-up. Interestingly, Toseland seems to have disappeared off the line-up with no explanation (standard HRH fare) and has been replaced by Brian Downey's Alive & Dangerous.

So Dee Snider gets replaced by Reef and Toseland gets replaced by a Thin Lizzy covers band. Like ordering steak and being delivered a plate of dog food instead.

So glad I didn't get a Thursday add-on ticket now, Reef are fucking shit.

What did he say at BOA? I must have missed that.

He put up a video on his Instagram saying that he wasn't playing any more gigs in 2019 and 2020. Very odd.

I can't remember exactly, but I remember at the time thinking some of the things he was saying sounded a bit ominous. He was saying stuff like 'It means a lot for me to be back in the UK again, for reasons you don't know yet etc etc' - i.e. there was some foreshadowing going on. Now with these gig cancellations it does worry me that something is wrong :(
