Ozzy - Ordinary Man (crap; only 1 song - "Under the Graveyard" - worth keeping on my mp3 player)

Yeah, when I first heard it, I thought I'd be listening to it all the time (especially since the video for Under The Graveyard brought me to tears). But I find I barely ever reach for it. I think the collaboration with Post Malone might be what's turned me off so bad.

I feel like Evile didn't want to take the plunge and become a band that tours all the time, they wanted to keep their steady jobs. Which I totally understand.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this. Don't get me wrong I love Matt but I'm excited to hear a more aggressive death / thrash approach on the new album with Ol's somewhat less melodic vocals.

Hoping for a 2020 release but - who knows. As far as I'm aware they're still looking for a label to release it on once it's recorded. I have high hopes for it though

Just listened to Tales of Kreia by Ukrainian band Midgard. Anyone who is a fan of folk metal/melodeath hybrids should get a kick out of it!

Ulthar - Providence
Faceless Burial - Speciation

And the two new Hellripper tracks sound great. Similar blackened-speed to what he was doing on the previous album and Black Arts EP but an even stronger straight-up Motorhead rock 'n' roll influence.

The new Necrot album is excellent.

Luna's Call's album is spectacular prog metal / prog death.

Really enjoyed the Oceans of Slumber album and loved the Wolf Moon cover.

The new Venom comp of demos excellent. Worth it just for the demo version of At War With Satan.

Also enjoying Metallica's S&M2. The classical music bit on Disc 2 is surprisingly good. Also really like how they did a song off St Anger and totally changed how it sounds.

New albums from Necrot, Skeletal Remains and Carnation in recent weeks.

I found Necrot and SR a bit underwhelming tbh.

Of the three Carnation is my favourite. More Entombed worship, possibly not quite as strong as their last but still solid.

Hey, maybe someone 'in the know' can go through the list of bands in the next Bloodstock lineup and make mention of who has new albums coming out? That would be really cool.

The Night album "High Tides - Distant Skies" is very enjoyable if you fancy trying something with an early 80's hard rock influence.

Aye, I really enjoyed the £50 demo. "I betcha tha sounded fuckin' wank!" ...ironically I think the production at least rivals Welcome to Hell.

New albums coming up over the next month by Kataklysm, Necrophobic, Six Feet Under and Demonical. And the new Dark Tranquillity song sounds great, but expect nothing less from them!

Rivals Welcome To Hell?!

Having been a fan for so many decades and experiencing that moment of disappointment back in the late 80's when it looked like Venom was done for, then getting various incarnations of the band and multiple albums with different versions of the old songs, and then this thing comes out of old material that I never even imagined I would ever hear, I mean fuck, I didn't even know about their first singer, Clive Archer, until the Internet came along.
