Difficult to argue with that. It's a sick record.

Only given it a quick listen but my fav grind/death band Benighted's new album sounds like another good album.

New Nightwish album is OK on first listen. Harvest is a hideous song though.

The second one was a huge leap forward for me. I loved it but wasn't particularly taken with the first either.

Seven Spires - Emerald Seas
Semblant - Obscura

Forgot about Demons and wizards. Haven't given it a proper listen yet.

Having heard two tracks from the forthcoming Alestorm album I'm in two minds. The first "Treasure chest.." is good fun and I really enjoyed it, however the new one "Tortuga" may be the biggest pile of shite I've heard for many a year.

Finally got round to listening to the new Nightwish. I quite liked it. The last album I really liked of theirs was Dark Passion play.

English band Negative Thought Process have released a great new grindcore ep. Nice quick ten minute listen.

Enjoying the English band Elephant Tree's new album Habit. Groovy stoner rock with gorgeous vocals.

Barashi's new album Old Smoke sounds good. Black Metal with slow groovy guitar riffs.

The Alligator Wine's new album Demons of the wind is good for a bit of silly groovy rock.

Would you call that black metal? It sounds fairly proggy to me and I can definitely hear some Mastodon influence. I like it though.

It's a good day for new releases as I'm absolutely gob smacked by the new Ulcerate album and I've not even had a chance to check out the new Katatonia yet.

Just played it through today. Thought the 3 songs released beforehand were ok but actually found I like the other tracks on the album more.
