I would expect it to be at least Ok tbh. I was trying to make a joke about Iron Maiden being commercial and not as good as they were.

I had a look at the map where they are selling it. Nowhere near me without going to places like Warrington or Frodsham. They are selling it at a pub I know in Llangollen, but I'm not planning on going to Wales in the near future.

It's a good pint, just because it's got Maiden on it don't jump to conclusions!

Tere's been plenty of non metal folks drinking it in the pub i go in and the general thoughts are good and it's not to heavy a pint (no pun intended).

Tried Trooper Ale for the first time as Morrisons stock it...

Pretty nice, reminds me of Fruits Of The Forest (Wytchwood) for some reason, it's got this dry golden taste to it though. Which I'm not really a fan of. But it's one I'd buy every now and then rather than a regular thing.

Well, I'm having friends round for Beers and Curry on Friday night. I will definitely get some trooper in. Some of them are Lager Boys , I'll get a few different real ales in for them to try.

Finally tried Troopers last night. Decent pint with good flavour. Only £2 a pint in my local.

Tried The Trooper at Download. It's rather good. Judging by the queues for the Robinsons/Maiden beer stalls, they must have sold a lot.

There's loads of potential for further Maiden beers.

I reckon they should do a dark mild called "Fear of the Dark" next.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

Had a Founders "All Day IPA" today. Funnily enough, I'd be happy to drink it ALL DAY.

Not that impressed with Trooper, tastes fairly bog standard tbh.

Nowt wrong with ridiculously strong stout.

Had a Vernal Menthe Stout by Ska Brewery yesterday. Wasn't impressed. Nowhere near as good as Priest's Hole mint-choc stout by Medieval Brewery.

Been drinking quite bit of US craft beer recently. Very impressed with beers from Left Hand and Founders, less impressed with Ska and Stone.

Moorhouse Blonde Witch, or anything by Hydes..... :)

Had a few pints of "Porters Punisher". Brewed by a local brewery in Dunham Massey. If you're ever in Porters give it a try.

Going to miss contributing to this thread. I am such a critic on German beer. I don't think its up to much at all.
