My manager is leaving and getting my old manager back and I'm just more pissed off about it every day. All her old favourites are walking about with massive grins on their faces because they know they'll be handed everything. Not trying to sound arrogant but I'm the hardest worker in the department by a fucking mile and i'll have to fight every day to not be relegated to the most pointless jobs that, realistically, nobody benefits from me doing. Its only a trivial grumbling because I can probably go to another department on more hours in the summer if I really want to, but I really dont

I got amazing chocolate brownies cooling in the kitchen that I want to go and cut up and eat, but my boyfriend just mopped the floor :ugh:
Yes. I probably love Opeth more than you do.

A night out last night has resulted in sleeping most of today and not having the energy to do anything.

Also, shoulder pain has got worse again and currently sitting with a hot water bottle behind it to help the pain going down my back. Time to chase up my ultrasound appointment.
I don't suffer from insanity, I'm quite happy with it

And herein is the reason you're seen as bit of a pushover and given shit tasks - not because you're not moving departments but because you don't want to.
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?

Possibly. Just now I'm doing mostly customer service desk, which is great because I actually learn something new everyday, and before I got that job I was looking to go to another department. So I'm fairly happy with that for now and probably in a few months see about moving up a level or moving department. My concern is just that my old manager will come back and just put me back to being a trolley boy, which I hate because its an absolute dead end. I do feel like customer service desk is where I should be. Like I've done everything else, and I'm ok at all of it, then one day they needed someone to do CSD and I just asked for a chance to do it and its been great. Lots of positive feedback from customers and from colleagues when I'm left in charge for short periods of time, however this manager has only known me as someone who is just doing a job, and not an ambitious person like I am slowly becoming now, where I really want to move forward and not move back. In short, I just don't want to have to redo the last 7 months.

Then you need to make that ambition clear to them, try and show them how good you are and how much you enjoy it :) granted might not be as easy as it sounds, but you should try!

Nothing says 'resourcefulness' like bed chocolate. You are my new hero.

I used to have bed chocolate. Seriously it's so good for that energy boost to get out of bed. However, I do just end up eating it because it's there.

It's the best yet most dangerous thing in the world. Only the truly brave should attempt this feat.

Environment variables and App-V deployment configs are really sucking the big one today. Bah!
