I've got to be the only one who thinks Pardew's done a pretty good job there. Especially considering they were a Championship club not long ago. Too many people blame managers too quickly these days, although I suppose if you headbutt someone in the face you're making yourself an easy target.

Think a lot of it is to do with Pardew himself just seeming to be an unlikeable smug bastard leading to many people happy to see him fail.

Not much chance of Chelsea winning a trophy this year. Previous managers have been sacked for that including their best manager Ancelotti.

I'd say that we didn't deserve to win the title this season, would be amazed if it'd happened. Beating the bigger teams means nothing when you lose to the likes of Sunderland, Palace, Newcastle, Stoke and Villa.

No point in that at all.
We needed to make up about 9 goals in two games plus any more that City scored in their two matches. Although the three points would have put a bit more pressure on City, they would still have won those two games anyway so why not try to score as many as possible to give ourselves a chance?
The shite or bust tactic ended up failing spectacularly for us tonight but in all honesty, I'm at least glad we gave it a shot. It made for a more exciting game if nothing else.

A draw at the weekend and we finish above the previous seasons champions, Arsenal, and a team who spent over £100m on players this season. Not bad for a team floundering in mid-table this time last year.

What i'm somewhat astounded by is how Tottenham Hotspurs have a goal difference of exactly 1, not 10, not even 2 but 1...but despite that have the relatively respectable position of 6th.

It's because we've had a decent set of results, but when we've lost, we've been absolutely massacred this year. We've conceeded 9 to Liverpool this year, 11 to City, 5 to Chelsea and even 5 to West Ham
