Holding a title should be relatively achievable depending how quick you pick it up etc.
Making a living from it over here is pretty tough from what I gather, imagine it's even more tricky over there?

Re: The Wrestling Thread
It's impossible in Ireland pretty much because there's only 4 promotions, though PWU and wrestling.ie do get 350-500 people per show so I imagine the top guys there are getting a fair amount.
There's enough promotions in the UK that if you market yourself well and are willing to work every single Friday, Saturday and Sunday and every weekday you can find that it is possible to make good money but really the way wrestlers make money now is merchandise. Because of my character idea though my merch opportunities will be really good.

Fair mate, so long as you're patient should be achievable.
I'm working on fitness atm but may well start training in the Summer depending on a couple issues getting sorted before then.

I hope you make it man. Mostly because I am loving the thought of you being called up to Raw and having a borderline racist gimmick! But hey, you'll get a cool one in NXT i'm sure.

Haha, I think the days of the racist Irish gimmicks are over thank fuck. Even Becky Lynch's riverdance gimmick only lasted a few weeks.
Actually one of the wrestling pages on facebook just now shared a photo of Devitt with a quote about how seeing the 1-2-3 Kid for the first time convinced him he could make it as a smaller wrestler. In 20 years time we'll be saying the same about him, he has taught us that not only can you come up on the pitiful Irish indy circuit and make it to the top, but also you can get there on talent and ability instead of being a stereotype like Sheamus or Finlay. Not that wrestlers and fans in Ireland don't have total respect for those 2 guys either, just that the mould they made has been broken now.
That being said, a bit of Irishing it up on the indy circuit will probably be good for me, it's still a very easy way to get heel heat in Britain I reckon. I also really want to use a Shining Wizard, but rename it "The Shin That Shakes The Barley."

Thoughts on Alexa Bliss, anyone? I keep coming across things from her matches and realising that actually she's a lot better than her character suggests.. Especially here:

Just watched The Rock vs Stone Cold at Wrestlemania X-7 with commentary by Stone Cold.
Really interesting to hear about what was going on in the ring, etc during the match, as well as some insight into how they put the match together. Worth checking out!

That's really slick. Christian does something similar of course but that is twice his speed (even in his prime) and it has that snap that makes it more of a Destroyer/Yoshi-Tonic than a Sunset Flip. Really fucking cool. I don't think I've seen one of her matches yet but will check it out soon.
I was checking the final card for the ROH/PCW shows next weekend and decided to look up Brodus Clay. I was right in thinking he went straight into WWE developmental rather than coming up on the indies so I was checking who he has faced since leaving The Fed and if any of them will have prepared him for his match with Michael Elgin (Homicide and Hanson among them, so at least he won't crumble at the first forearm.) So not only is he now wrestling in TNA which I didn't know but HE IS ALSO DICK MURDOCH'S SON!
Even aside from the fact that Dick Murdoch was as pale and blonde/blue-eyed a West Texas Redneck you'll ever find and Brodus is half-black I never would've guessed in a million years they were related. They have a similar shape but Brodus is a good 3 or 4 inches and 100lbs bigger.
On the subject of getting into the business late which was on the last page, Brodus didn't start wrestling til he was 26.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
I thought that was an odd decision, to be honest. No build up to it, aside from him chucking a KO'd Ziggler at The Authority's feet last week.
Spoilers..
Plus, with Erick Rowan joining Team Cena and going straight for Harper, it would seem that they're going to do a former Wyatt Family feud (which makes no sense) - so with them feuding, are they now just keeping the title off Ziggler? Because that's such a massive "fuck you" to both him and the fans if they are.
Also, did Cesaro join Team Authority at the end, or was he just there to troll people? Because if he's joined, surely it's now 5 on 6?
Also also, I'm really not sure how I feel going into Survivor Series..
Ambrose/Wyatt will likely be the best match of the night, as Shield/Wyatts never did a bad match together.
AJ/Nikki is hard to get interested in. Rumour has it that AJ will be leaving if she's dropping the title.
8-Man Elimination Tag match for the Tag Team Championship is just clutching at straws, really. Usos/Dusts has been done to death, and why the fuck are Los Matadores there? I'd have actually been happy with a straight Dusts/Mizes tag match.
Finally, the main event just seems a bit.. meh. Team Authority is typically slapdash (as in, Mark Henry and Rusev were feuding 2 months ago, and now they're working together?), and I'm hoping it collapses because of this reason - though, saying that, Team Cena is hardly expertly put together, as none of them really have an "anti-authority" vibe.
I'm hoping that Team Cena wins, but only because it'll be the end of them rehashing the Austin/McMahon storyline. Question is, who'll take over in charge? Who would you guys want to see as commissioner?
Personally I'd love to see Commissioner Foley back, though it clearly won't happen.
General Manager Sting, perhaps?
