Computer Games Thread

Had a quick glance and I don't think there is a proper games thread on this forum, so it's time to let our inner geeks out of their cages and talk shite, i.e. what are you guys playing at the mo, anything you're looking forward too?

Recently I've been addicted to Medieval Total War. And it's pissing me off immensely.

And for anyone with an Xbox 360, check out Too Human, it looks amazing, based on a futuristic pre-history of Norse Mythology

What I've mostly been playing recently is Rise of Nations on the Pc. I've got about four/five PS2 games I haven't played properly yet.

Wii - ive just started Zelda twilight princess (awesome game so far)
360 - im about half way through Tomb Raider Legends and just started sonic the hedgehog
Xbox - from russia with love, 00 agent difficulty(bloody hard) and time splitters 2
ps2/psp - mainstay of wwe games (Smackdown v raw/06/07)
DS - Zelda minish cap (again)

Medieval Total War II again, new campaign on hardest difficulty more realistic than zerging on easy settings tbh.

Also on my PC I got PS1 and 2 emulators working... So playing final fantasy's, and blast from the past in Crash Bandicoot memories eh. Brilliant games.

really fucked off cos both me and my house mate's 360 died within 24 hours of each other. now both of us are without for 5 weeks while we have them fixed!!

was playing punisher on ps2 which is an amazing fun game but finished it in 3 to 4 days so is a bit short

just bought transformers on ps2. biggest pile of wank ever will be returning it to virgin tomorrow!!!

Nothing at the moment, all my time is spent looking at stuff online about ID's new game Rage. Bit of an id fanboy to be honest, go Doom 3!

I've my eye on C&C3, and World in Conflict looks good, though I'm without a Dx10 card so we'll have to see how pretty I can get it looking. Thank goodness for 512 Vid Ram!

Though just yesterday they released all of id's old games, right back to Commander Keen in the 80s, on Steam, and you can buy them all (like 19 games) for about £37. I'm actually rather tempted!

I used to play video games all day as a kid so now I usually find most games easy (apart from stealth)

recently I started playing goldeneye and counter-strike again, and last night I was playing a halflife 2 mod called sourceforts

n00bs and bad map design which make games more annoying than fun really piss me off though!

I'm loving my Poker games at the mo. Got 1 for Xbox and 2 for PS2 lol
When i was at uni me and he guys survived on Halo death matches. They were sooo awesome. Halo 2 rules!

Got my 360 back from Microsoft the other day after it died over a month ago, and gave me a list of games as a "courtesy" for them being shit, and they were all ancient launch titles. Meh. This is now the 4th 360 in just over a year! Still rather have a 360 than a PS3, better games, Sony are screwing us over fine style with the price too.

Anyway, I'm back playin Gears on insane mode, aaaargh. Also I'm dying to play Mass Effect!
