Re: Computer Games Thread
Played Bioshock over a mates yesterday, just waiting till payday to buy my Elite, and might i just add, what an amazing game. I only got up to killing Peach Wilkins (I sorta gave up after that, was quite stoned and played it constantly for about 3 hours just to get there) but what a grand game. Better still, 2k studios are making a FILM of the first Bioshock game out Late 2009, around the same time Bioshock 2 will be released
Re: Computer Games Thread
I think that may just be more Bioshock than anyone man was ever meant to take. I love that game so much, especially the audio diary of Sander Cohen's "The Wild Bunny"
Folk metal till I die.
Re: Computer Games Thread
Bioshock is one of those great games that can be compared to great literature I think... It expands completely by itself, to a level beyond intended or even designed. It just seems to open up more meanings and levels of enjoyment. All by itself, unintended even.

It's very loosely based upon premises and ideas explored in Ayn Rand's (Andrew Ryan...see) works.

Bioshock 2? No thanks. God kows how they'll comeup with a story that's in any way related...
As for a film... that could work quite well.

BioShock was pretty much a sequel to System Shock 2, and it managed it while being completely unrelated.

Im assuming its gunna be based around the whole rapture thing, though thats pretty much dealt with now really, i mean everyone of importance is dead, and they cant just invent characters that have been there all the time without being in Bioshock 1
Re: Computer Games Thread
The sequel is apparently going to be a prequel, by the way.

Wait, so its before the civil war and uprising? so what, do you build rapture or someting xD
Re: Computer Games Thread

So it was completely unrelated and had a new name.... Dosen't sound much like a sequel.
Now that mention it a prequel would be pretty good. It could deal with the fall of rapture and all that. I imagine that rapture at it's peak would have been bloody spectacular.

Doesn't sound like you played System Shock 2.

They cant really do anything to do with the former characters, since the entire storylines been shown in Bioshock, they'll probably either do another section of rapture, or something above the surface.
Started playing Fable: The Lost Chapters again due to my inability to resist fable 2...
