Have managed to kick the nicotine habit.
Not a single cigarette smoked since I threw my half full packet out of the window of my car on the evening of December 23rd. Have tried to give up before but have always failed. I know that I still have a long way to go (I first started smoking in 1983!) but I felt pretty chuffed today when a work colleague gave me a little prezzie for doing well.
Let's hope I can enjoy BOA this year without nicotine!

Nice one Good to see people stopping.
No offense to any smokers or anything, but it's one habit I've never been able to understand...
My day was made happy by a Subway at lunch...
They've turned some old furniture shop into a Subway just round the corner from college. Inevitably I'll end up spending 3 times as much money on food at college, but it's worth it...

Revision today, it mostly consisted of sitting in the library with my mate for about an hour, flicking through our lecture notes then saying "wanna go to Subway?"

For work/study or for graphjam.com?
WMMHT: The Ricky Gervais Guide To Natural History is now available on iTunes (and, no doubt, the pirate sites as well).
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

Labs. Trying to take a reading of radio emission from the sun using an intereferometer. Problem is, there is a huge amount of background noise (electric doors, telephones, satellites, anything electornic), which can be random, so it's hard to get a good signal.
My lab partner and I spent 2 days getting 17minutes of good data:
That, is the Sun!
Re: What has made you happy today
Yesterday really: managed to get all my stuff moved with much help from Dad and my brother. (cue look of horror on my Dad's face when, just as he thought we'd finished I opened my Cupboard of Interesting Things to reveal a decade's worth of back issues Of Classic Rock, Powerplay, Powerslam...)
Then kebabs and the three of us enjoyed many pints accompanied by manly banter and war stories.
Nice.

Yesterday evening: after a good five or six hours over about 11 sittings of the bloody thing, me and my fiancée finally defeated Tabuu and subsequently The Great Maze on the final level of Super Smash Bros. Brawl's 'Subspace Emissary'. A thoroughly joyous moment.
