The Book thread
Re: The Book thread
At the moment I'm reading Stephen Fry In America. After that I've got The Final Reckoning by Sam Bourne and The Damned United by David Peace.

Does that mean I should get the first book? Or could I get what's going on without it?
Re: The Book thread
Currently reading : Paul Malmone - The Chinatown Death Cloud Peril
30s Pulp writers - including a young L Ron Hubbard and HP Lovecraft - get mixed up in a real life tale.
Not the book I thought it was going to be but still worth reading.

Yeah you probably should get the first one because it's about his life before becoming Genghis Khan

I want copies of the Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales but alas it's been out of print since around 1900

May 2009 apparently according to Waterstones, though I doubt it considering I've heard or seen nothing
Maybe it was a misprint and they meant May 2019?

You must read the Daughter of the Empire Series- runs concurrently and is from the other world. I think it's actually a better story, or at least better written.
Re: The Book thread
I have two on the go at the moment. Both charity shop specials.:
Clive Cussler - Treasure Of Khan - more boat related derring-do.
Valerie Frankel - Hex and the Single Girl
Woman with psychic powers uses it to matchmake. I got halfway into it before I realised that I'm probably reading Chick-Lit. What the hell. It's entertaining.
