Yeah, I was like that at first but you'll get better over time and you'll feel like Columbo by the time you finish the game. I'm on disk 3 right now doing my last Ad Vice case before shifting over to Arson.

It's a very good game, but some of the physics, especially driving are a little retarded. Managed to pretty much send a car into orbit at one point by hitting a letter box or whatever it was.

Accused someone of being the murderer by using their gun being at the scene as evidence, forgetting that I actually had an eyewitness account of him shooting the victim. Durp.

Other than that the game plays fairly well, good atmosphere and the facial animation is all it's cracked up to be, although they really needed to do the same thing with the rest of the body animation. Also evidence at crime scenes is pretty much handed over to you on a platter, but I'm only on the first few chapters so that should become more difficult.
Cars feel too floaty to drive too, I was expecting it to be all Mafia 2 semi-simulation style, but it's actually even more arcadey than GTA4.

But overall, so far so good.

The butler did everything. That bastard.

Sims 3 news: My lesbian household is coming along nicely. My created character is pumping out two/three £3000 paintings a day, while playing the guitar for tips on the side. Her wife is advancing up the criminal career path pretty quickly, and has a high level of charisma and fitness. The eldest daughter is already a best selling author, despite being in Primary school (or whatever the yanks call it), and the other daughter is nearly a toddler.

It was the first case, basically a tutorial. It more or less tells you what to do and it's pretty conclusive from the start, and I still messed it up, is how bad I am.

Also... disc three? My case has one disc in it. Although it does say "Disc one" on it... :/

EDIT: One trip to PC World later, and I have the other two discs.

Just reading that makes me want to get into the Sims again. Never really played Sims 3 but loved the previous 2.

Sims 3 was ace, I really liked it. Although I could never figure out how to make a new family and not make your previous one the main family? If you get me?

happened to me so many times, sit back get a bite to eat during a cut scene, and stretch, looks at screen, a dragon obliterates me, "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU".

The game gets gradually easier as you go along, unless you play hard difficulty.

dragon age 2 was awesome. sure, it has flaws, but no more than ME2. people whine about it being dumbed down, and then go crazy over ME2, which is dumbed down more than DA2. i personally loved it, it was the first RPG that felt absolutely perfect on a console to me (not counting mass effect here, because thats as much a shooter as an RPG)
