One of my best mates moms is glaswegian... in the middle of England. Honest to god the first thing she ever said to me was (cue glaswegian accent) "Hello Tem, if yooh get mud in mah house I'll kill yeh" Truely scary lady...

Mid-Wales really doesn't have an accent, we just sound posh, weirdly. Then when I go round to people's houses I have never been before and they ask me if I'm upper class, maybe this could get me somewhere...

no one thinks that where they live has an accent, but Mid Wales definitely does and it's about the least posh thing you can imagine.

My accent changes regularly. I had to force my regional accent to avoid being confused with a southern pooftah.
