That Ric Flair thing is pricey BUT it's Flair!
If he gets pissed and goes off on one of his rants it could be golden!

Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

Re: The Wrestling Thread
I rather enjoyed Survivor Series..
Spoilers ahead.
I'd heard rumours of 3 surprise guests at Survivor Series, and one was backed up by a boarding pass to St Louis for someone by the name of "Randall Orton"..
So I was, at first, a bit disappointed to see one of the "surprise" guests was a re-debuting Fandango, who is pretty much no different this time around except now he's more flamenco style and wears a poncey shirt with some guyliner and a different haircut. However his match against Justin Gabriel was solid, at least. And hey, they found a use for Rosa!
I missed Swagger/Cesaro but caught the very end. Good to see Swagger back (surprise guest number 2?) and Zeb on the mic, but a shame it had to be Cesaro jobbing to him. After watching NXT Arrival at the weekend and especially the Cesaro/Zayn re-match, it just reminded me how skilled he really is, and how much he deserves a bigger push. Hopefully, if they're going to do a Swagger/Cesaro feud, we get to see him go over.
Tag-Team Fatal-4-Way I was expecting to hate, but I actually really enjoyed it. Admittedly, the best parts of it were from the Dust Bros and Miz/Mizdow (moreso Mizdow of course) and it would have still been great as just those two teams, but the finish made it all worthwhile. Especially seeing Miz holding both belts shouting "I WON!" while Mizdow (who actually got the win) mimes along. I'd like to see Mizdow go against Miz, but will happily wait through a title reign. Something I never thought I'd say about The Miz..
Divas Survivor Series match was pants. It was frustrating to see the teams so one-sided, as Fox/Naomi/Emma and especially Natalya all have far more in-ring talent than any of Paige's partners. The match was essentially 4 on 1, as far as I'm concerned. Nice to see Cameron pin someone the right way up, though. She's learning!
Ambrose/Wyatt was decent. I think it was fairly obvious the feud wasn't going to come to a finale at Survivor Series, and TLC is probably the best place for them to go at it.
Adam Rose/The Bunny vs Slater Gator was.. filler. Do we need an Adam Rose heel turn? Do we need it to be against a man in a bunny suit? We certainly don't need that shit on a PPV, however you slice it.
Nikki Bella/AJ Lee was unexpected, if I'm honest. Funny that they did the same thing they did to Daniel Bryan at WM28, but a pity if the rumours are true and AJ Lee is calling it a day after losing her title. I can only hope that Nikki's reign is short and ended by either Natalya or Charlotte coming up after the next NXT event.
Finally, Team Cena vs Team Authority. I wasn't expecting to enjoy this match very much. I didn't see any logic in either team, I only give a shit about Ziggler and Rollins, and it all just seemed too sloppy. But actually, I really, really enjoyed it.
I liked how they handled Rusev's elimination, as it means his undefeated streak still holds up as he's never been pinned or submitted. Big Show knocking Mark Henry out straight away was a great spot (though a bit of a risky move after pretty much the exact same thing happening in the previous match). The Authority's heel tactics didn't seem too intrusive (I was amazed Triple H only started interfering with the refs as late as he did). And Sting. Holy balls, Sting.
I was expecting a quick return from Orton to take out Triple H while Ziggler secured the pin, and thought the rumours I'd seen of Sting's debut were the false ones. In fact, I was even trying to work out how they'd explain Orton coming back for one night and not being a part of the show again straight after.
I'm thinking we'll likely see Sting/Triple H in place of an Undertaker match at WrestleMania next year..

Re: The Wrestling Thread
So if I'm following this right, Team Cena just took The Authority's power away, and now Sting arrives to pointless finish them off?
So the guy doesn't go to WWF for fear of being misused and 13 years later he is being massively misused? Poor guy. He looks well though. Just so long as he loses the t-shirt for his matches.

Ehh not quite. The Authority had won with interference and lol Big Show heel turn. Ziggler kicked much ass to even the odds and Sting ensured the right man came out on top.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
i was sick of him when he was in TNA tbh, worse than super cena at the time. i am not remotely interested in what happens with him. its a historic moment 10 years too late.
ziggler as sole survivor i like though, makes a change from him looking quite weak. be interesting to see what happens going forward. i imagine cena vs big show, which is as bad as cena vs orton really. hope AJ is not done, at least until TLC, where we can have a proper match. the bellas are capable of it, brie is a bit better than nikki i think but nikki could be a good champion. and it was about time someone other than AJ or paige had the title. not that i would mind paige winning it again, but AJ has been champion or number 1 contender for far too long at this point.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Brilliant use of Ziggler. Could this be the start of a major push?
Have him feud with Rollins for a bit as a start can be some great matches/moments.
I like that Sting has debuted, he's only gonna have one match allegedly so get him in shape and make it a good one at Wrestlemania.
I worry though that he's gonna become the new GM of Raw to take the place of The Authority so we'll have the lame more recent TNA version of beat up Sting not really able to go with the younger guys anymore so we'll give him an authoritative role and anyone new to him will think of hima s a washed up shit guy.
We all know WWE has some cretinous fans who'd think that way too

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Some cable station in the US called AXS will be picking up New Japan for a short TV series soon. The report is confusing as it says the 13 episodes will be a re-run of the 2013 G-1 Climax Series (which taking the best matches from each day would easily fill 13 hours of programming) but also says it is to start filming next month. It'll be a mix of new and repeated stuff I guess. UFC's Josh Barnett is on colour commentary.

he is washed up. has no place in a ring anymore.

Yep, like me.
I saw him in TNA.
It was often horrendous.
Re: The Wrestling Thread
He's had a year off to get in shape and likely still has about 6 more months until Wrestlemania.
Bring him in as Sting, WCW main event star.
He hasn't been much cop in the ring in TNA for years but if you're mainly there for name value with a few matches here and there for a much smaller audience who seem to lap it up wither way it's understandable you'd let it slip a bit.
I don't think he's likely to be able to have an all out war like Undertaker has had in recent years which is why I'm cautious on a potential match with Triple H as he's spent the past few Wrestlemanias as The Game and proving a point.
However if you get him in something that involves much more of a story telling match, such as say against Bray Wyatt then I see no reason why they can't pull off something memorable whilst giving Wyatt a major win in the process.
Raw seems like it was fairly shit again sadly.
