i meant to those it isnt necessary for a job, i.e. a farmer, a professional pest controller etc.

why do civvy's need weapons? for protection? whether you wave a gun or a baseball bat at someone who is breaking into your home, chances are their still going to do one, personally i have found yelling "armed police, stand still" does an adequate job (that being said i have only needed to do it once, and that was in the dark, which was a good job as i was just stood there in my boxers at the time )

i myself enjoy shooting as a sport, although i very rarely shoot at all now.

i still think its a bad idea to allow the general public weapons of any sort. maybe a mandatory shooting standards course, would help to change my opinion on that front, i dont know, depends what the course consisted of in honesty

I wonder if America is curious as to why there's an average of more than 11 people shot dead exclusively on college campuses alone since 2000.

Guns are fucking horrific, the ownership and use should never be permitted. Even farmers can be dick'eads with them. (I know the dog apparently attacked a ewe, but you don't just stroll into the bloke's garden later and shoot his dog.)

Every year the main forum just after bloodstock makes me laugh. The I had a great time but I'm going to complain about everything needlessly brigade.

I find it amusing that people disliked Alice Cooper because he didn't say "Hello Bloodstock". He doesn't need to fellate the audience, he can work a crowd without it.
