It is completely crazy how much he seems to have aged in the last couple of years. We had the discussion before and joked about Lulu being the reason but he really does seem to have aged about 20 years in the space of 3 or 4 (looked mid 30s in about 09/10 and looks mid 50s now).

Yep. I declined to get one for precisely that reason. Had they been cheaper, I might have been tempted on the basis of the headliners alone. But since they're so close to the full price tickets anyway, I decided to wait and see how the lineup fleshed out. In hindsight, that was a great decision. There is virtually no one else on the bill that I want to see.

Northern Ireland politics can get pretty silly, but this just takes the biscuit. I posted a few days ago about racial abuse happening towards a Hong Kong-born representative in the part of Belfast I used to live in, and one of these comments was liked by a councillor from a rival party. Who just happens to be the son of our incompetent and homophobic health minister. Rather than admit to be condoning proven racial attacks on an elected official the family is now claiming, without evidence, that the Alliance party in cahoots with a satire page on facebook has made threats to rape the son in the past.

You can't beat bible-bashing racist homophobes for laughs with their "if I say it it must be true" stance on everything. By the start of next week it'll turn out these imaginary threats are all part of an agenda to force the whole country into eating horsemeat and speaking only Irish and Chinese.
