I must be one of very few people who are actually quite pleased with that announcement. Within Temptation seem a strange choice of headliner though.

Yeah we can bitch and whine about those bands, but I haven't seen any headlining bands since BOA 2009. It won't really influence my decision to go or not. Nice to have something to watch, but a meet up with you horrible lot and banter kinda sells the ticket to me alone. I guess I have more money than sense.

Not at all. Selection bias reigns supreme, but among those I know or interact with online, the reaction has been massively more positive than negative with only a small few thinking it's a bad booking. I'd also say they're the perfect choice right now. Their popularity's at an all time high and their Wembley show generated quite a buzz. Now's the perfect time for them to be headlining Bloodstock to capitalize on that.
