Went to see the hematologist again today, told me that I may start chemo on the 2nd of April but that depends on the biopsy next Friday as it's not quite the biopsy he wants done, so if that's not conclusive enough they'll do another and chemo will start at a later date. So my Dad asked will the extra few weeks if they need to do the second biopsy make a difference, to which the hematologist said "Well, with the likes of a lung or bowel cancer, if that spreads it's very bad news. But with lymphoma we expect the cancer to be everywhere... wait.. that wasn't very reassuring was it? I.. uh.. crap" He had a wee panic till I told him I knew what he meant.

"You mean it's in my blood so it could show up anywhere, but since chemo is given via the blood the treatment goes everywhere the lymphoma does" "Yeah, that's what I meant!"

Using a 100 Euro note to pay for a sandwich?

Alarm bells would be raised immediately in anyone trained properly in retail. When they try to pass dodgy £20 notes they always try to buy something of low value (and resaleable) so always check. I thought everyone knew that.


Although I admit to buying a round of drinks in Amsterdam with a 200 Euro note as I had nothing less. But I did ask before ordering.
