This is an ongoing thing, but kitten had to have medication twice a day to help her mouth heal (she had a nasty looking ulcer), so she had to have a half-sachet morning feed for two weeks (to mix the antibiotic into).
Now she has the all clear from the vet, and the medication has stopped. The morning feedings have subsequently stopped.
Kitten does not approve of this turn of events at all. She demands that the morning noms that she has only ever had for two weeks in her life now continue indefinitely. To this end, she will sit on you at 6am and meow. She will prod your face with her paw to make sure you haven't forgotten that kitten exists. She will enable hyper mode and knock all the things over until you get up. Once you are up, she will constantly try to lead you to the kitchen and make very non-subtle hints about which drawer you should be opening. If you ever manage to arrive at the kitchen without kitten's helpful directions, she will instantly teleport behind you and look hopeful. If you sit down at your PC, she will sit where she can keep a close eye on you, and every time you stand up she will immediately direct you back to the kitchen.
Honestly, she's getting so much more exercise now, it's amazing. She was getting chubby pre-meds, put on more weight because of the morning feedings (though not much), and she's such a lazy play cat that we weren't sure what the best way to get her to lose weight would be (we even considered getting expensive weight control food, reducing portions and padding out with mash potato). Turns out, all we had to do was feed her more for a bit, then stop.
