Yeah, I remember we watched the film after we'd studied the book. At the point where Lenny is shot mid sentence whilst talking about how much he wanted the rabbits, there were tears shed from around the classroom. The problem was, whilst all the girls in the class were in tears of sadness, every lad in the class was in a massive fit of laughter. Totally inappropriate but definitely memorable.

For me it was when we were discussing the scene where Lennie kills Curly's wife and the thick farmer lad in our class declares "it reminded me a wee bit of a paedophile"
