*- I've also found that if you're not sure if someone's accent is American or Canadian, chances are they're from either Canada (duh) or the Northern states in America, and don't mind so much being confused with Canadians. Also Canadians are really impressed when you guess right. Not "drop your pants" impressed, but at least "ah you're not an idiot, you get the good customer service today" impressed.

From what I've heard it was mostly a bunch of celebrities I'd never heard of (bar jennifer lawrence).

There was a few famous names in there, depending how many American celebrities you're aware of. Others included Avril Lavigne, (supposedly) Aubrey Plaza (of Scott Pilgrim/Parks and Recreation fame), Victoria Justice (any frequent viewer of Nickelodeon in the early '00s would know her from Zoey 101, as well as her own show that I think ended recently), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim, The Thing prequel/reboot, Final Destination 3), Kate Upton (recently starred alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann in The Other Woman).. But the majority was American popstars/"socialites", I think.

To be honest, The Fappening left me feeling weird. I downloaded the pics, but I didn't feel good looking at them. Looking at porn isn't the most fantastic feeling anyway, but at least you know the images/videos were made available with consent from those in them. It actually made me feel pretty ashamed of myself to look at the leaked photos in the same way.
It's probably pretty daft that I felt so bad looking at them, because chances are I'll never meet any of the women involved, but it's more of a guilty feeling for almost encouraging such a massive invasion of privacy. I think the "they shouldn't have taken the pics/stored them on iCloud" argument is a pathetic one, if I'm honest, as they shouldn't have to expect someone to hack into their accounts to access that kind of stuff. It's like saying "well of course your wallet got stolen, you left it in your house where anyone could break in and take it", as far as I'm concerned.
