After I got down to uni, a few months after all that business, she got in touch and we started talking again and she said she wanted to make a go of it, long story short, when I went back to visit she decided she couldn't cope with the distance.

WFMO:
Aforementioned girl has invited me to her birthday do in Manchester in January, despite the fact I haven't talked to her since break-up No. II and then she spent the whole invitation page on facebook flirting with her new fella only to pop up on chat reminding me that I promised I'd be at her birthday do. I promised whilst we were together (due to distance etc).

I don't want to go back on my promise, but I also don't want to be in Manchester with a her lot when she'll be the only one I know properly (and only one other I've spoken to in passing) whilst her and her new boyfriend are all each other due to the occasion. She also had an odd request "No tears" to me specifically. I'm a tad concerned if I'm honest

And that situation there just confirms that she should go fuck herself.

Because quite plain and simply: I'm a bit of an idiot who struggles to let go of things even when I want to. I'm also not the sort of person to tell someone else to go fuck themselves, and due to a lot of things that have happened I still a)feel sorry for her and b)have feelings for her.

It does hark back a little to the conversation the other day about people with depression thinking the world revolves around themselves though.

Reading back through that, it shows how spineless I am sometimes. Jeez

Then grow a spine (I say this in as non-condescending a manner as possible). There was a time when I felt the same but sometimes you gotta grow a thicker skin and sever ties even if it means you're alone for the foreseeable.

But then I'm pissed so...

Long wordy replies is likely to cause kanet to overthink things, whereas JUST DON'T GO will hopefully get the message across plain and simple

I agree with Dan, don't go, she is clearly a twat who doesn't give a shit about you as she is willing to rub her new boyfriend in your face knowing you have feelings for her and then has the cheek to demand you don't beat bit upset about that. I'd even delete her off of Facebook, you don't need people like that in your life.

I'll go in place of you. I can guarantee that she will never, ever speak to you again.

It'll be fine, I'm a bit less freaked out and calmed. It turns out I have an exam on the Monday, so I can't go even if I wanted to, which I don't.

I go away for one weekend and get back to find Andy Hall has a third account on here now, have I missed some massive forum drama or something? :?

I just saw an image I hope I'd never see again and I could feel my blood run cold in an instant.

I wouldn't mind changing my account name, but, making another account, let alone three more is just far too much hassle.

I think it should be set up so your post count only increases if you post in a useful subsection instead of all of them and by that I mean only if you post in Off Topic. :eyes:
