Just watched the last ever episode of Lewis, and my old school was one of the major settings in it. I haven't been back there for 8 years, and I'd more or less forgotten about the place and the people there, but seeing the playground I used to play footie on and the bushes we used to sneak ciggies behind on the tele brought back all these weird memories of being a kid that I'd almost completely forgotten

To be fair, I've never read a story like that where the person committing the crimes wasn't abused in some way themselves in childhood.
