One of my close friends has managed to give herself carbon monoxide poisoning by accident. She's being seen to in hospital now and should be fine but it's just a bit worrying.

Funnily enough our landlord is actually getting off their arse and fitting one in our house soon, which makes me feel a lot better seeing as we sleep right next to the boiler

She managed to leave the gas on all night. She's cat sitting for someone and had to stop the cat going outside so forgot to turn it off, and there's one of those spray air fresheners that sprays every 15 mins so she couldn't smell it.
She's okay though, thankfully.

I collapsed at work about 4 years ago while I was unloading a lorry that had broken down and bodged together to complete its rounds. Had to go through epilepsy screening, couldn't drive for 3 months all because my company wouldn't investigate it! I was told about the paramedic report (who thought I was on drugs /long hair stereotyping no less), classic CO poisoning.

I wouldn't have sued them, just knowing how a 'moderately' healthy human just randomly falls on the floor for no reason would have been nice. Not happened since either, and most importantly I made a full recovery!
