I see little wrong in those young girls dancing like that. In our society, they may well grow up wanting to be more and more like the popstars on TV, and eventually, when they turn into teenagers, they'll be so sexualised, they'll go off and have loads of sex, as teens in our society are so wont to do.

In their society, unrestrained teen sex simply doesn't happen. I think letting those little girls dance at their party is fair enough.

I still can't really get my head around the dresses though.

2 years ago today one of my mates passed away. Weird thing is it feels much, much longer than that.

I seem to have been listening to the same 25 Opeth songs (a selection of the 'calm' ones) on repeat since midnight, 17 goddamn hours, how have I not gone insane yet? :o

Cheers guys.
The extra weird thing is that hearing about his death seems like it was ages ago, yet I can remember hanging out with him like it was last week :?
Suppose my brain just remembers the good times more vividly than the bad.

What Alex said. You remember hanging out with him vividly simply because you want to cherish the good stuff :)

Cleaned my frying pan for the first time in ages. . Where did all the non-stick stuff go to? Are my guts now teflon-coated?

My old local has been converted to a Tesco Express.

I didn't go there often and it was a shithole but I thought it had closed for refurbishment. These little bastards get everywhere. :|

Aye, true that. The closest pub to my house got turned into a Tesco Express recently too (the place was a complete dive that I only went to a couple of times in the 13 years I've lived here so it's no great loss really). The daft thing is there's another Tesco Express literally 10 minutes walk away that's only a few years old!
There's a McColl's near here as well as one of the supermarkets that used to be Kwik Save, I'm fairly sure Tesco are just going to try and force both of those out of business and will close down one of their shops once they've managed it...

I actually feel sorry for the newsagent at the bottom of the hill. He's been there at least thirty years and when they tore down the old parade to build houses, rebuilt his shop where the old one stood.

The area has changed so much in the 23 years I lived there and the time since. It's things like that which make me feel old. :(
