Completely the opposite. I started growing mine in 2005, was annoyed with it by 2008 and then spent the last 5 years worrying about getting it cut and regretting the decision. I turned 26 and thought it was better to move on. I get called a lesbian alot, and I am totally ok with that because I fucking love fanny.

I grew my hair long twice, got it short now and wouldn't go back to long hair at all

I grew mine from about 13-19 got really pissed off with it got it cut, soon as I got back regretted it big time so started growing it again till I was 24 then again got pissed off with it, but this time I haven't gone back

My hair started growing about 25 years ago. At first, and for years, it engaged in battle with blades and clippers.

Eventually something changed. Its host clattered into puberty and a new strength powered through! Now, not even scissors are able to tame it for very long. So far, it's winning the war and continues to claim more space down my back, arms and front. I have little desire to stand in its way on its valiant journey.

TL;DR I have long hair and still like it.
If it sounds good, listen to it

My hair is quite curly so very little in the way of short hairstyles work that I find aesthetically pleasing except buzzcut, and I'm too gaunt for that. I'd be the first to admit my long hair is something of an aesthetic crutch, and it's not even that nice.
