I'm surprised they got rid of Mickie James and Shelton Benjamin. Losing Mickie James will mean WWE's women's division will suck even more and Shelton Benjamin was one of the WWE's better technical wrestlers.

I'm not that surprised that they got rid of Jimmy Wang Yang, he was pretty much a jobber, but I think he was very good at doing "the job" and put his opponents over really well.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

Jimmy Wang Yang became redundant when they got rid of the junior heavyweight division

A shame because he was one hell of an in ring performer

WARNINGif you dont want to know the results dont read this postWARNING
The WWE opening promo plays.
A video package runs focusing on the "extreme" theme of tonight's Pay Per View event and how Extreme Rules is the fallout from Wrestlemania 26.
A graphic opening hits welcoming us to WWE Extreme Rules. We go live to the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland where a huge display of pyro goes off.
After Josh Mathews did the introduction for the match, Triple H's music played and he didn't walk out. We see a shot of the confused announce team and then a camera heads backstage. We see Triple H on top of Sheamus hitting some big right hands. Sheamus eventually gets out, grabs a pipe and decks Triple H with it. WWE referees hit the scene and try to break it up. Sheamus hits Triple H a second time with the pipe. Triple H is out. Sheamus walks off and WWE referees attend to him.
WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show and The Miz are on their way out to the arena. Miz grabs a mic and said it looks like this show didn't start off like everyone thought it would. He said lets start off the show with some real exciting, the greatest tag team in WWE history, ShoMiz. Miz said they shouldn't take his word for it, they should take Bret Hart's word for it. He brings up how Bret Hart made a promise to call ShoMiz the greatest tag team in WWE history of he beat David Hart Smith, which he did. Miz asks the crowd to chant that along with him. The fans in Baltimore boo. He said tomorrow night live on Raw, Bret Hart will make that statement and they have no problem proving it. He said the only problem is they have a lack of competition so they begged, hoped and prayed to the WWE brass to give them some real competition. Smackdown GM Teddy Long walks out. Long said he has his hands full with what just went down in the back and it appears he has his hands full with ShoMiz. He said he has a team in mind to face ShoMiz tonight and if they win they will become #1 contenders for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships. Miz said they aren't scare and tells Long to head to the back to work on how he will screw up the Draft tomorrow for Smackdown. Long said he will add another team if Miz wants to keep shooting his mouth off. He adds three teams to the mix. Miz keeps mocking Long and Big Show puts his hand over Miz's mouth. Long said if they can beat all three teams tonight then maybe they can call themselves the best. But if not, the team that pins them will become #1 contenders and get shots at the titles tomorrow night on Raw.
Big Show & The Miz vs. John Morrison & R-Truth
We kick off with Big Show and Miz facing the first team of Morrison and R-Truth. Morrison and Truth get in a big double team flip drop on Miz. Truth is the legal man, gets in a big right hand and Miz escapes to tag in Big Show. Big Show levels Truth with a big tackle. Big Show with big shots to the body. Big Show slaps the chest of Truth, tags in Miz and Miz kicks Truth in the face. Cover and Truth kicks out. Miz drives his knee into the back of Truth and applies a chin lock. Tag to Big Show and Morrison. Morrison with a dropkick on Big Show. Show stays on his feet. Show launches Morrison into the corner, takes a boot from Morrison, but grabs Morrison by the throat, attempts a chokeslam, Morrison slaps a triangle choke on Big Show as he falls back into the ropes and both Truth and Miz go over the top rope. The referee starts counting to five for Morrison and he won't break the submission. The referee calls for the bell. Morrison and Truth are disqualified.
Winners via DQ: Big Show & The Miz
Out next is MVP and Mark Henry.
Big Show & The Miz vs. MVP & Mark Henry
Big Show is still out favoring his neck and shoulders after the triangle choke. This leaves Miz alone with Henry who gets in a big headbutt. MVP gets the tag and gets in a big back suplex and elbows to the head. MVP with a facebuster on Miz, hits the ropes and hits the "ballin" elbow drop. Cover and Big Show breaks it up. MVP with the Playmaker on Miz. MVP goes for the pinfall, Big Show pops up and catches MVP with a knockout punch.
Winners: Big Show & The Miz
Out next is The Hart Dynasty with Bret "The Hitman" Hart and Natalya.
Big Show & The Miz vs. The Hart Dynasty
Hart Dynasty hits the ring and both David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd hit the Hart Attack on Miz. Smith covers Miz and gets the pinfall.
Winners & #1 Contenders for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships: The Hart Dynasty

Joey Mercury in SES :D

Some of those releases come as a Shock Shelton Benjamin and Mickie James particulary. I See TNA picking Benjamin up and trying to get Mickie back (she was Alexis Laree in the early days of TNA) however i think she'll concentrate on her music career. Katie Lee Burchill would be a good investment for TNA as would Jimmy Wang Yang if he just went back to being Akio or Yang and did the Bruce Lee look again he'd be good for the X Division. Mike Knox was useless on his own i always thought they should have had him team with Snitski when he was around and have them as a unstoppable monster team.

if you are refering to the guy who attacked rey mysterio at E.R it looks like it may not actually be him
there are reports from the show that say it looked like it was FCW(wwe developmental) champion Alex Riley.

im with you though i hope it is mercury as ive always enjoyed his work dating back to the original ECW when he tagged with christian york in the tag team of york and mathews(him). he apparently has shaved his head for the look too as he has been wrestling dark matchs at events recently...
we shall see :?

They should bin this PPV imo, you can't do a proper Extreme Rules as a PG show , that Codebreaker was awesome though, and that match was good , the street fight was crap, but props to HHH for putting Seamus over as well as he did , the strap match was terrible , and beth getting the belt os the best thing to happen to the women's division in ages, as she can actually wrestle , unlike 90% of the women's division

It wasn't a very Cena thing to do though, as someone said his whole thing is never back down, never give up, effectively he cheated to win , I actually thought it was clever, but if Batista had done it, he would have been booed out of the building

And i too popped at that codebreaker, as in I jumped out of bed

hopefully this will bring on the main event push that christian has needed and deserved since before he left for 3 years for TNA.
Kofi could and should be looking at a upper midcard push again too

They just couldn't leave Christian on the same show as Edge could they.

But usual thing- SD gets the workers, Raw gets the stars. The supplemental is still to come...but the big winner in all this is CM Punk. He's pretty much the sole top heel on Fridays now. Swagger is there, but he's not on Punk's level yet...but there's still people to move about, but it seems SD is gonna be elevating a lot of talent, which is no bad thing!

To what Andrewhall said, I actually enjoyed the strap match at Extreme rules, JTG was awesome.

Anyways, I never thought i'd say this, but I think i'm sick of Edge. I don't like that he's made the spear his primary finishing move, he's too small and it looks shit. It's hardly as good as when Rhyno/Goldberg/Batista did or do it. Also his personality is grating. I'm not glad he's on Raw.

IMO extreme rules was hard to watch because it was bloody awful, how was the big show match a dq at an event called extreme rules??

cm punk vs rey rey wasnt a patch on their match at wmania and the cage match was more a match in a cage.

cena vs batista was good though although the ending was the same as macho man vs crush from years ago!

lockdown i thought was brilliant, a nice violent fun event which reminded me of ecw cyberslam 99. jeff hardy was insane and the angle match was a moty candidate \m/

looking forward to the supplemental draft today as the raw one always seems a bit light!
I can see by that look that you have in your eyes, you came here for metal to fight and to die!
