Yes I know it's his job. He's a company man. He has his position because he sells more merch than anyone else and is willing to whore himself on every talk show and red carpet under the sun. But at least 75% of the time he's dull both on the mic and in the ring and in my opinion taking valuable time away from more talented wrestlers and better entertainers.

Also re: Sting and the WWE, I think his reasoning of never going there because he'd be underused is pretty well founded. Think of WCW-grown main event starts who went to WWE and how many of them actually got the push they deserved in the other brand. Ric Flair and Goldberg are the only 2; it took years for Paul Wight to win a WWE world title (albeit for a matter of seconds), and years also for Benoit. Ron Simmons, Booker T and Diamond Dallas Page were all trivialised to no end after they crossed over, the first 2 of those 3 possibly for racial reasons. Foley and Jericho are the 2 most successful ex-WCW stars in WWE history (to a lesser extent Mysterio) and that's because they didn't become main event starts til they got there.

most of those guys should never have been main eventers in WCW though. benoit wasnt ready, big show only ever had his size going for him, simmons only even got the world title because he was black ( i dont care how that sounds, its true), booker T was ok, but not on a par with WWE's main eventers at the time, same goes for DDP. i know WCW was huge at one point but most of the stars they made werent nearly as talented as the guys they let slip away and the genuine main eventers they had came from WWE

Well there were 19 WCW world heavyweight champs, of whom only Hogan, Randy Savage, Kevin Nash, Bret Hart, Sid Vicious and Jeff Jarrett were imported. I'll admit that there was a lot more shit wrestlers who won that belt who were home-grown there (case in point, Scott Steiner not to mention the dreaded David Arquette and Vince Russo title runs) but I still think Goldberg, Booker T and Sting were on par with the above mentioned. I agree with it being a bit too soon for Benoit but he was still one of the top guys in WCW.

goldberg and booker T, yeah. sting, i feel is overrated. as i said i only know who he is because he's in TNA, as a kid i never watched WCW but i was aware of goldberg, booker etc. but never sting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WC ... _Champions
if you look at the list as well, its not nearly as impressive as the WWE title holders over the same period.

Oh no question, especially the Attitude era. However the suckiest period of any of the main companies was the Cena/Bradshaw/Edge-era of WWE. I know Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Booker T and Rey Mysterio all had one title reign a piece around that time but they should've been the guys dominating the top tier (along with Sting for a while at least if he had've gone), but I reckon were held back because of a mix of racial reasons and this ex-WCW stigma.

Has anyone read the book by wrestlecrap called "The Death of WCW"

It actually says that they needed to push people like Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko etc. before they ever were.

Interesting as fuck read

not finished raw but i've got past the HBK/undertaker but. my theory on this, contrary to andy's theory, is HBK will screw HHH and the streak will continue. hopefully wont mean a return to the ring for HBK at the next PPV, that should only ever happen on a wrestlemania

miz is reported to have a huge role in WM, but i've not heard what it might be yet. im guessing interference in one of the title matches, or rock vs cena.

i know punk probably agreed to it, but his dad really shouldnt have been brought into the feud. theres no real need with those 2 especially.

It was a bit dark, but Punk brought it up in the first place with a promo on Raven when he was in ROH.

6 minutes into Raw and it's embarrassing. Cena threatens to shit on Rock's chest and give him the arabian goggles while failing to get cheap pop by wearing a Cavaliers jersey?
