Matty_the_Emo_Slayer wrote:Anyone got any predictions for next year's Hall Of Fame? Seeing as it's in Texas I'm expecting at least a couple of Texas entries. Maybe something like this.

The Undertaker
Goldust
Mark Henry
Jacqueline
Slick
The Guerrero Family (Eddie is in the HoF already but Vickie, Chavo Jr., Chavo Sr. and Hector [The Gobbledy Gooker] have all worked for WWE as well. Plus Mando and Gory Guerrero.]

And some possibilities who may never have really worked extensively for WWF but are still legends

Stan Hansen (most famous for wrestling in AWA and All Japan but in his brief WWF run in 1976 he broke Bruno Sammartino's neck.)
Bobby Duncum Sr. (part of the original Heenan Family in AWA)
The Fabulous Freebirds (none were actually from Texas but they were the biggest thing in WCCW in the early 80's. Michael Hayes was a commentator/interviewer in the Attitude Era, briefly managed The Hardy Boyz, was on creative for a while and seems to appear on every WWE DVD.)
Gentleman Chris Adams (trained Austin and Scott Hall and inspired Shawn Michaels' superkick. Maybe inducted with Gino Hernandez as "The Dynamic Duo.")
Bruiser Brody (wasn't from Texas but played college football there and was a big star in WCCW and basically everywhere but WWF)

Good shouts. I'm still surprised that Macho Man was only this year. I would have swore he was already a HOF member. I think Bruiser Brody may still be a bit too controversial as that whole incident was a pretty dark mark against the business.

I would predict.

Sable
Christian
D-X (Or possibly X-Pac and New Age Outlaws separately)
Akira Taue (Seeing as they have started inducting Japanese wrestlers)

Well McMahon and Savage's relationship was very acrimonious from 1994 onwards (whether you want to believe the stories about Savage and a 17 year old Stephanie or not) which explains why Vince waited until he had passed away.

When it comes to Brody I don't see why they shouldn't when they've already inducted the guy who covered up his murder (Carlos Colon) and plenty of other nefarious cunts like Snuka, Abdullah and Tyson. Brody may have been notoriously difficult to work with but he wasn't a bad human unlike a lot of people already in the HoF.

From what I've heard this year it was a toss-up this year between Fujinami and Genichiro Tenryu, Fujinami probably won out because HHH is a fan of his I reckon. So I wouldn't be surprised to see Tenryu as the next Puro legend to go in, particularly as he was in 2 Royal Rumbles and had big marquee matches in Japan with Hogan and Savage. After that probably Muta or Liger seeing as they were big WCW stars, and then the other nWo Japan guys after that.

Sable is probably the best bet for next year's diva entry. Either her or Luna Vachon. In fact fuck it, the whole Vachon family should be inducted. Roddy Piper would do an amazing induction for them judging by the stories he told about breaking into the business under Mad Dog he told at his stand-up show in Belfast.

so which promotion is worst for rushing feuds and storylines. which promotion has squandered the best assets (wrestlers) it has had with crappy bookings?

As a TNA fan i could probably write a book on what i think they should have done differently over the last 5 years

Aj has retired from in ring competition, not really surprising and not much of a loss considering how much she's actually been around in the past year. Maybe people can get over her and appreciate the other divas a bit more now

Everyone on the NI wrestling page bar me seemed to agree that The Bellas have been outperforming her for the best part of a year, which I really can't get my head around. I mean they've improved a lot, but you still occasionally see shit like them missing enziguris by 2 feet. Having Sara Del Ray as NXT divas trainer is working wonders though. I think the current handful are ready to go now and the sooner they get in some more girls from the Indies the better.

So Samoa Joe is a big fan of The Ward Family from the Irish indy circuit apparently. Hopefully he'll come over for a few shows then!

The Age Of The Fall reunion backstage!

Great to see that Jimmy Jacobs still dresses like himself. It would be suck if WWE were to say "sorry you can wear eyeliner and a white suit to work."

TNA are doing so badly that all their talent can now work anywhere that doesn't have TV (so no ROH) but can have iPPV (so PWG, AIW, CZW, Beyond, EVOLVE, Dragon Gate etc). Looking forward to seeing more of Bobby Roode and Austin Aries again.
