Hopefully BOA can get a nice selection of ales together this year.
Wouldn't mind some from the Badger Company.
Fursty Ferret and Tanglefoot are rather tastey.

You're the first person I've encountered who appears to be jealous of me living in Warrington. I wouldn't wish such ill fate on myself, personally.

Poacher's Choice is my favourite Badger ale. It's a little more expensive than the others, but it's definitely worth it in my opinion. Tasty stuff.

Re: The Ale Thread.
Will have to check it out next time I go Ale shopping.
Last time I did it was last week and I bought Bishop's Finger, Spitfire and Hobgoblin.
Very basic but I was in Lidl and they don't really have much choice

Aye, the one I'm off to tomorrow is CAMRA. If they've brought in more Pendle Witch's Brew, I'll be very very happy.

I love my ale but I really do find CAMRA and most of the members to be extremely stuck up.

Re: The Ale Thread.
So had a good few pints in 'Spoons last night of varying quality;
Everards Flourish: Wasn't too keen on this- the booklet said it was "bursting" with fruitiness which turned out to be disappointingly untrue. A bit too dry on the finish for my tastes as well.
Fremlin's Bitter: This was a bit more like it, nice and hopsy and bitter.
Three B's Oatmeal Stout: This was an interesting one, not my favourite stout by a longshot but the bittersweetness of it went down well. Nice and smooth as well like good stouts should be.
Goose Island Honker's Ale: I remember this as being somewhere between Everards and Fremlin's, superior to the former but not quite as tasty as the latter. It was enjoyable, rich and hopsy but not something I would drink all the time.
Beartown Peach Melbear: Dear god this was lovely stuff. I was working my way through all the ale taps they had from right to left and when I got to this one there was no tag over the pump meaning I had to figure it out from the booklet. I didn't have high hopes for it because i'm not usually a big fan of Blonde beers but as soon as those first overpowering notes of Peach and Elderflower kicked in... I was deliciagasming!! I actually opted to not try some of the other festival ales they had to get more than one pint of this. Definitely a new favourite of mine.
Springhead Spring Chicken: This was beautiful stuff as well. Honey and cinnamon notes but still rather bitter. Refreshing as hell.
Would have stayed longer but the bar closed at midnight. Ended up in Auntie Annie's Porterhouse up the road for a few Guinnesses and then to a mate's house for coctails and a Peep Show marathon until well after dawn. I was definitely paying for it today

Really? I've only ever encountered one CAMRA member I didn't like, and it was the bloke who gave me my application form when I signed up
I usually find ale drinkers are more laid back than others, as they care more about the quality of the stuff in their glass than whether it'll get them shitfaced or not.
