Sorry to hear. This is why my dad never let us have pets 'cos he had a cat once.

This one's for your cat

This. Sorry to hear that.

It's been arranged for my dog to be put down on Friday :( I've had dogs put down in the past but it was always arranged on the day, I don't really know what to think about having it planned in advance. Either way it's going to suck as she's basically my best friend at the moment :(

 . Last few months I felt so sick and couldn't eat or sleep before taking Mymble in to the vet just in case that was the curtain call. I'd say definitely having a definite time limit is worse than it just happening without expecting it. I'm really sorry :( Distance definitely helped with my grief.
Just make sure you give her the best expensive steak and treats you can this week :)

My cousin in Aus gave birth to a little girl last November who was born with her lungs half formed. They wanted to operate but at 9 months old she's barely over 11lbs in weight so it's far too dangerous, at the moment that option is out of the question.

They confirmed yesterday the poor little mite will be on oxygen for the rest of her life. My aunt has done some research and she's one of only 500 people in the world who have her specific condition (I don't know the name.)

On a plus point, she's had some contact with a mother in America whose toddler has the same thing, and they've trained an assistance dog to carry his oxygen cylinder about so that he can actually run around and play like any normal child. Aww :)

F**k. I felt like crap when I found out my second daughter had got trouble with her circulation and had a more than worrisome heart murmur (now finally going, thankfully). God knows how I'd have reacted to that. Best wishes to all.

Same to Mike. I whinge about being short sighted and suffering from migraines.
I'll shut up now, I think.

Further to this, the professor higher up the department changed the decision and they operated on her last week. So far, so good! It doesn't change the need for 24/7 oxygen but it will hopefully give her a better quality of life overall :)
