Cysts entirely depend on what they're filled with, so you can have entirely benign ones or something much nastier (without a biopsy and surgery you can't really tell) - a friend who has PCOS (so develops ovarian cysts quite rapidly) has had to have pretty invasive emergency surgery twice to remove ovarian cysts, one of which was bleeding into itself which can be very dangerous.

If there's really a chance of ovarian cysts and the symptoms are ongoing for more than a couple of weeks (benign ones can disappear on their own in roughly that time period), it would be extremely foolish to just write them off as nothing to worry about. See a doctor.

Thanks for the concern, but really, I'm not reaching for the phone just yet. Three main reasons: Firstly, I've had it for a couple of years now, it's nothing new. Second, it's never got any worse. Thirdly, when I googled some medical sites and forums, dozens of people said they had it too and had got it checked to find it was nothing.

If it gets worse I promise I'll go to the doctor.

I got really confused when I clicked on this thread and found the new tittle as I hadn't been on the site in a while I didn't know it had been changed, so I was like hang on I didn't click on that but then found I was on the vagina thread.

Also to the ovories hurting I had the same symptoms over a cold/cough a week or two ago, I put it down to the pill thickening my walls.
