My weakness is the limited edition bits from the airport.

I had a sort out a few weeks ago and ended up getting rid of loads of it as I have had it for years and not worn it.

One thing I threw out was a little heart handbag charm with two lipglosses in - I used it about 4 times :(

I felt so guilty

I'm glad I don't fly regularly because otherwise I'd spend all my money on duty free make up. Last time I did I ended up spending a fortune at the Benefit counter in Stansted. Speaking of, I'm running out of concealer again, but it has lasted me since February last year.

haha the airport airside bit is actually one of my favourite bits about going away (I feel so sad saying that), shockingly it's Chris's least favourite bit.

I like stocking up, and playing with my new toys on the plane...

I always end up having a few glasses of wine on the plane and buying more impulse things on there too.

Flying back is excellent as you have loads of money to use up. 8)

I'm not very active in buying makeup at all. It has become something of a running joke that my Mum buys me an Autograph eyeshadow (one of few that don't upset my skin and I think they're lovely :) ) or a nice coloured eyeliner each birthday and Christmas. That pretty much makes up my makeup quota for the year. I don't wear much other than eye makeup anyway, so it's not as if I need a lot.

Also, I don't wear it unless I'm getting dressed up to go out most of the time. I'm quite content with my face without makeup for day to day purposes, and I see it as part of the "going out" feeling that I get to mess about with makeup. Still, I don't wear a great deal. Eyeshadow and eyeliner, bit of mascara and that's it. Mascar's about the only thing I regularly buy just to replace them if they start to go funny.

I certainly wouldn't be too impressed with being told to wear less or more makeup by someone else, but I think it's a nice thing to be told you're beautiful without it, it's a bit of a pick-me-up. Dear God, what is it with some of the women on here and compliments? Take it as it's meant and get back down off your high horse

Because if I wanted to be seen as being beautiful without make up, I wouldn't wear it. I don't do "natural".

But someone saying you look nice without it isn't saying you don't look good with it, surely?

I think you've totally got the wrong end of the stick anyway, no one here has said that they hate being told they look nice without make up. It's a case of people saying "you look better without make up". I don't really give a shit if people think that, my use of make up is how I wanted to look that day.

Oh, yes I did, I thought you were meaning blanketly being told you look "nice" without it, not "better."

Hmm, I suppose it's one of those cases of maybe keeping your opinion to yourself. I know someone who has a habit of trying to tell his female friends whether they should bother with makeup or not, so I take the point that that particular thing is annoying

Actually, I do hate being told that I look nice without make up- but I think that's just me. I just feel like it's one of those things people feel they should say and so it's a bit trite. It also makes me paranoid that they think I wear too much make up and this is their way of telling me haha. Although I am an hysterically paranoid person.

I'm perfectly happy with how I look without make up, but I love putting it on.
I don't normally wear it to work because I'd rather laze about it bed, but if I'm going anywhere else I'll slap it on.

I don't think anyone's told me that I look better without make-up. Ah well.

I always mean it when I give compliments. I can't see how anyone could feel comfortable giving compliments if they're lies, or said just because they 'should'.

This. I do usually have something nice to say for people, but I have to mean it, or I won't say it. I can't even do the "giving compliments to make the person feel better" if it isn't 100% sincere.

Exactly.

It's not my fault women don't find "Great tits love" or "I'd break her in half, rubcrotch, rubcrotch" as emotional buoyant as they should.
