Frank Lampard is coming to City for 6 months...i'm sure the 2 or 3 games in 6 months where he actually manages to dislodge Yaya Toure, Garcia, Milner, Fernandinho and Fernando will be worth his while instead of signing for Melbourne where he'd probably play every match.

We'd have him at Birmingham if we could pay him what he's worth.

What's minimum wage again? £6.25/ph?

It's one that's run by a friend of mine. If enough of us from here sign up, he'll run a separate Bloodstock competition in parallel to the main competitions (he does that with other groups - such as those from the company we both worked at, the MyFootballClub people, etc), so not only can you see how you're doing against others in your division, but you can compare your progress to your friends in other divisions. The thing I like most about it is the team selection aspect. You're given a budget and there are auctions to determine which players you get. A given player can only play for one team in a division. I'll post a reminder before the start of next season, but if you want to have a look at it as it stands now, it's at:

Since the football season's about to start, it's worth mentioning this again. Let me know if you're interested in joining. It's by far the best fantasy league I've been involved with.

How do I actually join? There's a login but no sign up

Yeah, it's invite only. How you join is by telling me in enough time that I can get you signed up before the pre-season auctions start, rather than on the day before I leave for Bloodstock. It's too late now, I'm afraid!

Over 60,000 Sheffield United fans are protesting the signing of a convicted rapist via petition...sheffield's response is to say the majority of their fans support the signing...is it just me or are Sheffield grossly overestimating their own popularity.

I'm pretty sure the 60000 isn't entirely (or even mostly) comprised of our fans at all.

Crystal Palace upper management are idiots. Pulis was the best thing to happen to them for a heck of a long time.
