Season 5 is excellent.
2, 1, 4, 3.
Can't include Season 5 as it hasn't finished yet but at the moment it would be in 2nd place.

I know about them both man, i didnt mean it like that. I meant the idea for 'Supernatural' after death TV. I was just saying, how many people had heard of the walking dead OR true blood (Southern Vampire) before the TV shows? All I meant was, if True Blood hadnt have ever been produced, would the Walking Dead ever have come about.
Also, just before you think the opposite, I actually prefer The Walking Dead by MILES.

Eh? To be fair you were probably in nappies when it was on TV but what about Buffy? That went into loads of seasons and was all about that shit and had a spinoff, Angel.

Almost certainly.
The sudden rush of popularity and money making potential for zombies in the past couple of years would have assured it.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
I disagree personally, zombie fiction and vampire fiction have both risen in popularity but more often than not to two different markets. The revival of zombie based films came before 2008 and were a success for the most part and there has been a steady rise in popularity with many zombie survival games, books and things like the zombie walks in major cities for the last 5 or so years. To say that TWD is only here because of TB is a leap I personally don't feel I can take.

I meant it was almost certain that walking dead would've got made, even if true blood hadn't been.

Wasn't Randal and Hopkirk Deceased (show about ghosts) on in the 70's? You've also got shows like X Files (which toyed with ideas about the supernatural quite a lot), Tales of The Crypt, even Supernatural was about long before Tru Blood. I honestly don't think you can say Tru Blood started anything, it just happened to appear right when Twilight was released.
Plus the Walking Dead comics are massivly popular, mainly because of Robert Kirkman's reputation, but the show wouldn't have found any footing without the help of Frank Darabont. None of this can be attributed to Tru Blood I'm afraid.
