Just watched Terry Pratchett's Going Postal.
Faithful enough to the book, well acted with great special effects but it dragged on forever and most of Pratchett's wit was completely lost in translation. Nice cameo by him at the end though.

Going back to Dr Who for a moment...
After watching The Pandorica Opens it was nice to see the BBC are still keeping Christopher Ryan from The Young Ones on the books after all these years.
Kiv - Mindwarp (1986)
Staal - The Sontaran Stratagem (2008)
Mike The Cool Person.

Dr Who didnt go into anything i wanted to see and went in a more meh direction. although im curious how River Song remembered the Dr but the other 2 didnt although i enjoyed her warning saying that everything will change. all in al i thought it was an ok ending to a bit of a meh series.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Well, this series of Dr Who must be doing something right. It's the only one I've watched since it's return with Ecclestone where I've watched every single episode.
Some were better than others but overall I took to Matt Runslikeachimp way more than I thought I would.
Still room for improvement but a good start to the latest incarnation of The Doctor.
7/10 for the final episode.
8/10 for the series as a whole.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
It was a decent ending, but they didn't address the Doctor's regeneration limit like it was rumoured that they were going to. I guess Amy's house, the crashed Tardis from The Lodger, and the ominous "Silence will fall" voice are all important for the next series.
What does everyone think of this as a possible source for the voice? If you count the time the Doctor was shot by a Dalek and regenerated without changing his appearance (by putting the excess energy into his severed hand), then this Doctor is the 12th regeneration, which the Valeyard is supposed to show up around.

I pretty much agree with that. The last story had some nice drama but was just too far-fetched.
By the way I prefer the look of the old Sontarans:
