Okay, so after last week's Game of Thrones, I called it a "moving the chess pieces" episode.
Well, this week for the most part, it was a total fucking stalemate.

POSSIBLE HALF-SPOILERS

Jon Snow's story becomes increasingly tiresome, Billy No-Legs and his 1970s haircut stink up the screen with their own non-story and bad acting, Sansa forgets how to act again and reverts to sounding like the kitchen table she did in the first series, the increasingly pudgy Arya runs around in the dark a bit, Robb Stark shags his wife, Tyrion gets whinged at, and Theon cries a bit more.

Standstill.

Thankfully, Daenerys and Tywin give the episode two massive (but all too brief) kicks up the arse, and Jamie actually gets to do something other than sarcasm (even if I did watch the scene wondering if Baxter from Anchorman was going to save the day).

That trailer was horrible, but that last line was pretty damn funny.

Probable spoilers etc.

I actually like Theon's inclusion in this series. In terms of the book, he's not even in it, but the show gives readers to the chance to see his "transformation." Which is only mentioned in the later books on the fly.

Other than that, still enjoying Hannibal more.

Looks like it could be fun. Plus I'm curious about him playing off his parkinsons.

I like the highly inventive and original, not stolen from several movie titles, name for the series

I've been told that the entire show is pretty much just Parkinsons jokes.

I used to love it, but then I stopped watching pretty much as soon as Elisha Cuthbert stopped being in it. So I guess perhaps it wasn't the show that I loved

Bates Motel has set itself up nicely for the season finale next week. As long as it doesn't mess things up catastrophically, I shall be tuning in for Season 2 for sure.

Talking of messing things up catastrophically, I thought I'd watch the season finale of HIMYM. As entirely expected, the episode had one standout funny scene and nearly twenty minutes of flashbacks, plot contrivances, and schmaltz, with the show's finger looming ominously over the Sytem Reset button throughout.
However, in the end, we did finally get to meet the mother.
Probably.
In all likelihood though, and in keeping with the show's constant attempts to undermine itself, she's probably not. Yes, she's got the yellow umbrella but it'll probably just turn out that it's not even hers anyway. Or something.

How I Met Your Mother.

This entire season has felt like it's on auto-pilot, but this Season Finale was actually really good. And they didn't cop out at the end (having Ted approach the mother and we only see her from behind) like I thought they would. Season 9's gonna be shit though.

Bullshit ass bullshit from HIMYM.

"HEY REMEMBER ALL THOSE EPISODES WHERE NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENED"
"I SURE DO"
"THANK GOD WE MADE THOSE SO WE HAVE TO FIT ALL THIS ACTUAL PLOT INTO 20 MINUTES. YAAAAAAY"
