Don't want to get up for work. It's nice and toasty in bed.

Crank up the amp. If you want to record whispers use a U87 or something.

Yeah I will do when I get in, need to mess about with how far away the mic placement is - I've got too much attack at the moment. Also a bit confused as to why the filament in my EL34 isn't glowing... It shouldn't effect anything but it does seem strange.

If the filament doesn't glow but still sounds, could be a dodgy connection. That might also affect the output gain of the tube.
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?

Yeah I had a feeling that some gunk or something might be in there - I've always thought that if I was missing a tube the tone would be horribly affected. I've never looked into to it though as it's been the same since I had bought it. That and I have no idea where I could take it to be examined.

Got a bus into one of the nearby suburbs for some ale and it was 17 mins late on way back.

Fair enough. Public transport is shit.

But the Spanner then told everyone who boarded the bus that he was late and why and blah blah blah - got back into Reading over 30 mins late just because he wouldn't fucking shut up. Despite Benny Hilling it down the road the shop closed before I could buy more wine.

If people are suddenly going to decide to try and pursue the same career I've been focussing solidly on for over a year, great.

If they're going to get pissy because I'm not going to give them my resources and contacts I've spent ages collecting, fuck 'em.

See, now this is a dodgy area.

In some industries doing this (on an international and continuing scale) is lauded and you can get recognition - for example Microsoft issue the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award to folks who contribute to the community on a large scale, by maintaining blogs sharing their experiences and speaking at conferences, teaching others and imparting knowledge and experience from the field.

I'd be happy to offer help when I'm actually in work.

I'm not sure how I can describe my fundraising this year in a more concise manner than 'running 1000km by entering a race every weekend this year', but people still keep asking me if I've finished my 'race' yet.
I'm running 1000km (6 Marathons, 26 Half Marathons & 20 10ks) this year so sponsor me ya bastards!
