Clarkson's gone.
I know he's a knobhead but I quite like him and his programmes.
Rumour now is that Chris Evans is going to take over Top Gear.

Re: Trivial Grumblings
Evans said absolutely no on that. It will be... interesting... to see if the program can continue.
Re: Trivial Grumblings
Eh, other channels will be throwing money at Clarkson and the other two to get them. Or the BBC will give in after a while and bring him back.

Probably the same sort of time people started saying Apple purposely put bugs in the Windows versions of iTunes.
I wouldn't put either past Apple to be fair, although I would've thought they would have been less likely to opt for those tactics when they still had Jobs because at least then they had a direction, whereas now the company seems useless and lost, so just brings out more of the same whilst suing anything from Samsung to a local technology college to a fucking bakery for having a similar logo.
Imagine if say, ITV had paid Clarkson a bunch of money to get himself fired then switch over to their channel, BBC has to deal with the shitstorm and looks bad, loses money off losing top gear and Clarkson, and all the attention means the new program with Clarkson on another channel gets loads of publicity. Would be quite genius actually.

The other name I heard banded about earlier was Piers Morgan.
Can't see either May or Hammond staying unless Clarkson decides to retire. I imagine Sky will pick them up and throw money at them and the viewers will follow. At this point those three ARE Top Gear, and whilst I agree he probably overstepped the mark somewhat, the BBC have shot themselves in the foot.

They'll reformat Top Gear like they did in 2003, probably with new presenters. It'll go back to being about normal cars, those generally less than £30k. Bit like Fifth Gear.

It's all a lie. Clarkson left Top Gear to join One Direction.

It'll also get moved to Sunday afternoon and get about 50 viewers

They might bring back Angela Rippon. Or even Noel Edmonds.

I've had my iPod for two years and the battery life still holds up pretty well. The iPhone on the other hand...

James May was a bit cryptic when door stepped earlier, saying the three come as a package. Whether Sky would be interested in his Airfix documentaries tho'.....

Re: Trivial Grumblings
I reckon Johnny Vaughn is in with a shout of replacing Clarkson. He's just about Roger-Mellie-Out-Of-Viz-ish for the job.
...or Ross noble - he's on the leader-board for Star in a Reasonably Priced Car and, IMHO, Top Gear focusses far too much on cars and should dedicate more time to chimps on unicycles.
