That might be a 'traditional' attitude, but times have changed. People are no longer uncomfortable with the idea of being considered gay.

I'm happy to hear from anyone else who might feel this way, but as far as I'm aware, the general feeling is that no-one is remotely bothered about being seen as effeminate and even less that they're seen as gay (and I know many masculine gay men so that doesn't even make sense to me).

You're uncomfortable with being thought of as gay, suggests you're uncomfortable with gay people.

Sounds like some low level homophobia to me.

Most straight men would not want to be suspected of being homosexual or effeminate for whatever reason, at least where I'm from they wouldn't. It is a normal, traditional social attitude and there is no justification in trying to pathologise it with the word 'homophobia', trying to equate it with genuine psychological phobias such as fear of enclosed spaces.

But you love Rainbow... :P Don't get your issue at all, what's the problem with carrying a pink bag? Are you scared that you might get dry humped by a man in the street because he saw you carrying a pink bag and thought you were up for it?

ALSO
It is a normal, traditional social attitude

With hope, that won't be so in the future.

Torn between having a daytime kip after four nights of very poor sleep and fucking up my body clock...or trying to keep busy but doing everything really badly cos I'm so tired.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

I ordered a pizza and am watching Supernatural, but I can barely keep my eyes open. I think bed it will be, very soon.

At least I've already unpacked...

Get one of these: http://www.over-board.co.uk/waterproof- ... -blue.html (or a slightly larger one).

They're designed to survive being dropped in to the river when your kayak rolls over so you still have dry clothes. Keep all your clothes in there for the fest!

At the mo I am still in 'That's it, I'm NEVER going to a festival again!' mode, but that will most definitely be gone by tomorrow

Thanks for the link, good idea for future!

I do think though that if some bellend hadn't opened my tent in the early hours of Sunday morning, this would have not been an issue!

Bit too quiet for one person in the main stage, it seems.
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?
