The fact this debate is still going on is further proof that the denizens of this forum will argue about anything.

This forum is tame when it comes to some I've had a look at. A model one I occasionally frequent had over 200 pages of froth, arguing and wishlisting about an announcement of an announcement that a manufacture was going to release a model train. Then it was "Bah! I didn't want that one. I wanted XYZ!!". Makes us lot look sensible.

I was behind two women in Wilkos a few weeks back. Chip and pin wouldn't work on one of their cards, but contactless did. Friend watched, stunned, demanded an explanation from the cashier, then started screeching "THAT IS RIDICULOUS". I don't know if her problem was with the cashier or the general concept of contactless payment.

EDIT: FFS, we moved on. Also, it's a roll.

The one posted is a crusty cob.

The ones like Warburtons make are rolls.

Soft ones with flour on are barmcakes.

That's my definition of them.

It is well and truly the month of double booking myself and no sleep again.
All the fucking event organisers need to have a fucking meeting right, and maybe say 'Oh so you know how we just put on every single gig ever in May, why don't we just like, spread it out, we never have shit in August.
WHY ALL MAY AND NO AUGUST? WHY

Well, no. They have a limit per transaction (currently £20, due to rise to £30 later this year). Any further restrictions, such as per-day transaction quantity or per-day transaction value limits may optionally be imposed by the individual card issuers. But they may not. And surprise, surprise, they generally don't publish that information. I've so far failed to find out what limits (if any) my bank imposes, for example. So if you happen to have a card from a bank without limits, a stolen card could be used to empty the account without any authentication being required.

FWIW, Chip & Pin is also a security nightmare. I'm largely switching to using cash for everything these days.

we're not allowed to tell you the limit Tet !!! However contactless payments are covered in exactly the same way as any other trans (ie on-line) if your card is stolen. You can only use contactless 3 times in a row anyway without having to input your pin. As a result, the max liability regarding contactless to your bank is £60 (£90) from Sept, which is why you are covered as, sadly, it is a relatively small amount in terms of fraud
